Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

Tansy Bradshaw is a library technician come writer come avid reader who is an activist for disability rights.

She has performed at two Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, where she has done a solo stand-up show and a narrative comedy show.

Her written work has been published on sites such as Ricochet Magazine, lipmag and Comedy Beast Magazine.

Tansy is an avid reader and her favourite genres include literary fiction, historical fiction, magical realism, nonfiction and creative nonfiction. She has started a YouTube channel where she talks about the books she reads but also about writing them. Currently, she is working on a book about Valentine Keating, a real-life disabled gangster who terrified North Melbourne in the early 1900s.

She currently sits on her local council's Disability Access Committee.
