Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

I lived in South Africa for over a decade, some of it studying Sociology, Media and Writing at UCT. I acquired chronic illnesses since 15 years, environmental illnesses due to pollution, in part. I had a long journey to find balance, often met with alternative-health scammers but alternative health helped too. It is something one needs to be able to afford, so I've had that privilege and I don't wish anyone too much trial and error. Now being persecuted in my country on the basis of my disability, I have extensive experience of abuse culture and I'm more articulate about disability justice than I have ever been.
