Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

I'm a 29-year-old writer, editor, and graphic designer in the Twin Cities. I've been writing and designing for over six years in a variety of fields and formats. I have a bachelor's in broadcast journalism and spent many years as a reporter. Recently I completed my master's in technical communication and have worked as a freelance content/technical writer and editor for the last three years. I have also completed a study in online accessibility for cognitive disabilities and compiled a set of guidelines.
