Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

Jenna has written professionally for the past 10 years after receiving her BA in International Politics & History, and is currently creating a freelance writing & editing business. At 16, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic illness, Von Willberand's Disease, and since then has become a strong and active self and patient advocate in her community. In seeing an absence in her community for female voices and stories, she started blogging over 4 years ago, sharing her health journey in the hopes to inspire others with rare, invisible or chronic illnesses to take control of their health and live a life outside "the rules."
