Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

I work as an associate research fellow in drama at the University of Exeter, writing plays about disability and outsiders in general for student performers as part of the degree syllabus. I have a doctorate in drama from Exeter University. I have pronounced cerebral palsy. I am married to a Russian whose father fought at Stalingrad and who was blinded and permanently maimed in Belarus. Inna is a trained engineer and was naturalised British. We have been married for 18 years and live in a council flat in the St Thomas area of Exeter. Eight of my plays are published by Intellect//University of Chicago Press.
