Elijah experienced extreme educational discrimination which began in 2013, his junior year of high school. From that point on, he dedicated himself to promoting educational equity, and civil rights. In 2016, he founded Equal Opportunities for Students, a website which gives a platform for students and parents to tell their stories, as well as a platform for teachers and advocacy groups to promote the work they do in education. Elijah is a junior majoring in Education and Public Policy at Penn State, and has been advocating for educational equity on a national level for five years.
