Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

Irish based independent disability researcher and writer with lived experience of dyspraxia. Currently interested in eco-ability (disability and environmentalism), transport and welfare issues. Prior to becoming involved in disability research he completed a PhD on heritage and the built environment. He has been an activist and organiser in grassroots campaigns around precarious work and tax justice. Has experience teaching on the social model of disability and presenting at academic conferences.
