Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

I am a US Navy veteran and a full-time student at LIU Brooklyn, where I major in English and minor in Media Arts. I am a beginning blogger who focuses on chronic illness awareness, medical research and news, and career support for disabled writers from all genres. I am living with Chiari Malformation, a rare brain disease that has led me down the career path that I'm on. My goal is to network, grow, and give back to my community by using my talents to spread awareness.
