Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

Andrew Gurza is a Disability Awareness Consultant and Cripple Content Creator working to make the lived experience of queerness and disability available to everyone.  His written work has been featured in Huffington Post, The Advocate, Everyday Feminism, Mashable, and Out.com, as well as several anthologies including QDA: Queer Disability Anthology and Any Other Way: How Toronto Got Queer. He has presented all across North America on what it means to be a Queer Cripple and his presentations underscore the intersectionality of sex, queerness and disability.  He is also the host of the DisabilityAfterDark Podcast: The Premiere Podcast Shining Light on Sex and Disability available on all podcast platforms. Andrew resides in Toronto, Canada.
