Disabled Writers is a resource to help editors connect with disabled writers and journalists, and journalists connect with disabled sources. Our goal is specifically to promote paid opportunities for multiply marginalized members of the disability community, and to encourage editors and journalists to think of disabled people for stories that stretch beyond disability issues.

Alison, or Allie, Carville is a 27-year-old young adult living in Southwest Florida with her parents and 13-year-old brother. She is self-employed, working as a public relations professional, and hopes that her activism efforts make an impact on people's lives. She has written about spirituality and disability, every day impacts of laws that affect people with disabilities disproportionately, and has raised her voice at injustices the community faces.
